February Photos, Pt. XIV: Valentine's Day in Labor and Delivery

Today was anything but ordinary.

I was honored and humbled to be able to today witness a delivery that was nothing short of heroic. This afternoon, after over 24 hours of labor, my brother and sister-in-law welcomed their first child, a daughter into their family. Meet little Isla Taylor.

Isla, your beautiful momma spent the day in the trenches for you, a day when nothing went as expected. Your story is a long one!

My little brother is a DADDY! (He's pretty stoked, too.)

Getting the vitals before wrapping up a baby burrito for snuggling all evening.

Welcome to the world, sweet Isla.

You are so loved.
