February Photos, Pt. IV: Same Room

Though one of today's photos is cropped, both are untouched as far as editing is concerned. Seriously, you guys, I can do this because the SUN has been out... my color sense is going to be tweaking out in the coming weeks without the option to PUNCH UP the flat grays. Ironically, gray is the chosen color of the brightest room in the house, one I painted just this fall. The space above the mantel stared at me for weeks turned into months, daring me to make any commitment to layout of my weird amalgamation of collected items, until one evening, I just DID it.

I'm content for now, happy mostly that something is up, and that the "something" is stuff I have affinity for, as opposed to the framed poster that looked okay, but held little personal attachment. All of this consideration, fiddling, arranging and rearranging and gathering from around the house, all of it is lost on the boy. This is his room for watching Wild Kratts and Caillou, and he couldn't care less about what momma hung on the wall.

Good boy.

(And for real, you'd let him watch Caillou too, with that little face.)
