The day began as all Wednesdays do, with me busting a move to get myself and three kids out the door by 8:25 for Bible Study Fellowship. Every week I think I'm starting earlier, moving more efficiently, doing things earlier, and have plenty of time, and EVERY week I am a sputtering stressball. After I drop off the kids and walk into the room for pre-class prayer, I stare off into space for a few minutes while I reacclimate myself to a state of non-motion. Really, it is a good place to be, and once I get to that place, the rest of the morning tends to flow smoothly, having been prepared fro and prayed over, but needless to say, it's not something I can photograph. (I'm finding it interesting that this exercise in daily pictures is initiating all kinds of different photographic inspirations, not the least of which is the things I do every day or every week that I never think to photograph. Most aren't worth the time or the product, but I think others bear further consideration. There are lots of days left in February, and I'm already weary of pictures of the kids in the house.)
That was a really long parenthetical.
So after BSF we had a nice quiet rest time at home, after which I took my girls with me to my mom and dad's place to see Megan's girls and Aunt Caity, three days past her due date and still carrying "Pat." I had a haircut appointment for Eden in the evening, so we hung out until then. Toy Story 3 is almost always part of the fun when the Hanneken girls have anything to say about it.

(And did you notice that blurry flying fist in the corner? Selah is convinced she is/ determined to be one of the big kids. All of the sudden, Selah is big.
Okay, I know I said I was going to keep these straight out of the camera, but I just couldn't. The party pants made me do it.
The clouds made me do it.
The cheeks made me do it.
And in the next case, the scant ambient light and yellow tones, even after adjusting white balance... well, I just couldn't leave that there, could I? And a photo of Eden's new haircut had to be included, as she put away a bowl of Raisin Bran Crunch before bedtime.
She's got her momma's hair, that one. At least I'll be able to offer suggestions and sympathy, when called for.
(And P.S. Aunt Megan: Good call with the "Snow White" haircut. Totally clinched it.)

What can I say? I've had to sweet-talk a lot of little ladies into the haircuts their mommies and I KNOW will suit their hair well.
