Still Here

Just checking in for all those inquiring minds out there... yep! Still with child! I tend to be quite optimistic in the evenings (when gravity has been at work for the longest) and just as disappointed each morning, when I wake up in the same bodily state I went to bed in. I am still hopeful that something will start up on its own, but if it doesn't, Wednesday is the day! (The whole induction thing is another post entirely... I don't have the mental energy or sufficient mental processing to go into it at the moment.) Until then, Derek and I are tying up loose ends, hanging out, playing with Eden... trying to stay occupied! I was so blessed in church yesterday by a focus on surrender during worship... how timely. After all, when it comes to the birthing process... surrender isn't really an option, anyway. I can walk and eat spicy food and try all the tricks I can find on the grand interweb, but this child will come when he is meant to come, and no sooner. SO! That's where we are with that. He is all we are waiting for: this weekend we purchased a camcorder and installed a second carseat in the back of the Taurus. It might as well be official. :)

Hopefully the next post will be of an introductory nature; I'll take this opportunity to post some pics of my firstborn monkey, my little lovey.

Daddy and Eden reading "Row Row Gook" on the stairs. You know, where you read with Daddy.

And what toddler album is complete without the shampoo mohawk picture?

She looks like a cross between Elvis and Sonic the Hedgehog in the tub picture...hang in there, I know *just* what you're feeling. Especially every morning when you wake up naturally, NOT due to contractions!:)
