Beating the Snow

Derek didn't have to go into work until 3 today in an effort to get rid of some overtime. We made the most of our day together by taking Eden to Frederik Meijer Gardens to see the butterfly exhibit. It is so incredibly rewarding to see how much Eden loves family time. Whenever possible, she will grab Derek's AND my hand, squeal and giggle, and say, "Mommy, Daddy, ME!" Does life get sweeter than that? Of course I had my baby (the XTi) on my shoulder...
Weird... a picture I'm in?

Smiles on my two favorites.

Hate the reflection, but love the moment :)

And yes, it was yet another occasion for the hot pink tutu.

The snow started on our drive home, and it's just now letting up. I keep telling myself that it will melt quickly, but I'm startled at how quickly my brain has shifted from being unfazed by snow to being completely bewildered by its form and presence. There is something bewitching about those first warm days...

On the reproductive front, I am more than ready to have this baby... or as ready as I'm going to be. I do have a bridal shower for my darling sister-in-law-to-be tomorrow, and Sunday I am slated to open both Easter services at church with sand art, so I *guess* it'd be responsible and considerate of me to wait until Monday to try all those wives tales to give labor a kick in the pants. I dreamed last night that my water broke, and was straight up PISSED when I woke up this morning to find myself completely intact. It was good to start my day in Bible study to remind myself that God has the timing for this birth perfectly laid out. It won't be long!

Those pictures are GREAT! Glad you guys had a good time at the gardens and you made it home before the snow got to bad! This is rediculous, it was spring 3 days ago! Well, I hope something happens with baby Sunday night for you, maybe I won't see you Monday night! ;)

Speaking of Bible study- I need to get to mine this week-oops! Great pictures- I think that is the first I have seen of Derek- neat to finally put a face with the name.

I checked out BSF (googled it) and I'd love to check something like that out! However, with my work schedule, neither of the times would work for me. Bummer! I guess I'll stick with adult Sunday school for now :) If you know of any good bible study guides or anything for a beginner, let me know :) And hope all goes smoothly with the birth of baby 2!
