Late winter, warmer weather in our sights.
Mid-afternoon, post-naptime but pre-Wild Kratts.
Hanging with Lydie by the sunny window and the vent.
Watching the big kids play in the sun, waiting for Selah to come downstairs cozy and pink-cheeked.
The babe is developing some physical awareness, some spry little moves as she climbs about as a quadriped-most-of-the-time.
She still returns to the Mama Hub often, regaining her bearings and snuzzle into whatever part of me her face first finds, enunciating as clearly as she's able, "Mah-Mmmm... Mah-Mmmm!"
Selah is up from her nap, all-over pink. She found the vent, too.
I think she's telling me she wants to play outside, too.
She doesn't like my response.
It's the briefest of glimpses, but for a moment I realize that this season is just for this season. Next March, Lydia will be running around after her sibs, Selah will be all signed up for preschool (and GOD HELP ME if she's not potty-trained by then.) This moment goes in a little box lined with that pale pink velour with a little flowered ruffle.
