Every night this week, I have tucked into bed with a miniature pharmacy at my bedside, at the ready for any nighttime renal emergency that might awake me. And then last night I didn't. Just as one unexpected event began the kidney stone saga on Monday morning, one unexpected event drew it to a close (for now) on Friday morning. In this, I am FULL OF REJOICING! But I don't want to loosen my grip on the training God wants to accomplish in me. I'm wanting to step back, reflect, remain tender. This probably sounds vague or disconnected. At the risk of over-spiritualizing the physical, God has shown me that he needs me trainable in ALL things, and I don't want this to be wasted. We'll see what pans out as I step away from some media time-wasters in response. In the meantime...
Eden's slumber party with her friend Dana went off without a hitch. There were the requisite lessons in boundaries for the girls and Eden's younger siblings, so desperate to engage and impress the effervescent Dana. The household's first sleepover is a bundle of lessons for everyone. I'm thankful that this round was relatively painless.

Dana is napping. Dana hasn't napped probably since she had the flu two years ago. Napping = really, really fun times were had.:) Thanks for letting her be a Pompette for the night!
Funny you should say that, Susan. I just came off a conversation with Judah where he said, "I wish Dana could be our sister!" :)
