Oh yeah. You want a close up of that avant garde wallpaper border, don't you. You need to experience the chic design up close.

Apparently I was too anxious to strip that border when I snapped the photos to get a good shot of the whole room. (That, and I'm a little lacking in the wide-angle lens department. One of these days...) At least I managed to continue the trend in the "after" photos as well.
After wallpaper removal, fresh white trim and Benjamin Moore Stem Green ala Avery, and valances designed and sewn by YaYa... a first view of Pompette the Third's nursery:

Judah is still sleeping in the crib that will eventually live in this corner, but he'll move to his big kid bed before the little one outgrows the bassinet... we hope!

The fabric on the pillow was the inspiration... maybe you recognize it as the cover paper from Little Golden Books with a retro little red fringe.

The artwork was selected from a favorite Little Golden Book with gender neutral colors and subject matter... and it doesn't get much cheaper than cutting apart a book from TJMaxx and mounting it in a Hobby Lobby frame.

So so soon, these little shelves will be stacked with diapers and wipes and little clothes. (I am pretty prepared in about every way, but it seemed silly to wash a whole two bins of newborn clothes as I'll only be using one of them.)

Such a happy room...perfect nursery for a winter baby's homecoming. I am glad you included before pictures but why no shot of the lovely mauve office components?
...soon and very soon, Baby Becky!
Very sweet nest, Beck. Let's see, Emmeli had a girl, and Joe & Michelle's friends in Lansing had a girl on Monday...so I guess I'm thinking a wee boyo for you. Can't wait to know, though it makes absolutely no difference...precious is precious!
Can't wait to meet who'll be sleeping in that sweet room! It turned out beautifully. The before shots definitely do not do justice to the transformation!
It looks great! Cant wait to see if you have a boy or a girl :)
its so funny how the weeks before the baby it's all about these things, then when the baby arrives it changes to the little one who uses all these things. anyways it looks great. love the framed book pages idea!
