The lake is clear and glassy, the sky is bright and cloudless. Towel-draped children run down the dune toward the water, and Benny Goodman filters through the cottage I've known since my infancy. Tranquil vacation, thy name is Port Austin.
My days this week are filled with too many munchies, too many photos, and too much sun. (Perfect.) The kids are happy as larks, soaking up the attention of aunts and uncles and getting acquainted with Lake Huron and just how sand can be built into towers with just the right amount of water. Really, enjoy your vacation!!! You deserve a break! But, call when you get back. Your regular life needs a coffee break with Wendi. :)
