I took 95 pictures today. Just sayin'.

Derek has today and tomorrow off, so we get a REAL weekend like regular people. :) Today we went downtown and had a less-than-hoped-for experience with a carnie stand lunch, but nothing worth mentioning other than this: reubens from a wagon = bad idea. At least the kids were well-behaved and the weather was nice while we were there. Later a cold front came through with wind and rain... perfect for cleaning and organizing. I finally went through Eden's clothes, rearranged her room, and put her new sheets on her big girl bed. As I write this, Eden is (maybe not asleep but at least quiet) in her new bed for the first night. The timing is right; she's big enough and old enough, and in a number of short weeks (*hopefully!*) her brother will be sleeping through the night and will be moved from the bassinette in our room to the crib in Eden's... er.. the KIDS' room. We picked out cute new sheets to make it special for Eden and have been hyping it up all week, but I admit... when the three of us said prayers tonight with my firstborn baby Eden, who climbed onto the bed herself saying, "Nah-night! Nah-night!"... I cried. I was that mom. Time will tell, though... who knows what the night will hold? It's no accident that we're doing this when I'm up at all hours of the night anyways...

*tear*. Ok, if I'm tearing up at Eden's graduation to a 'Big Girl' Bed, I'll be a mess when it's Ellis' turn...

I hope her first night in her big girl bed went well! We have yet to put Kelsey in Macey's room as well. I am thinking it needs to be sometime this week. Kelsey's been sleeping from 8pm-4am on a regular basis now for at least a week so it's probably time? Did you do Kinderplaats? We were downtown Holland yesterday too. Going to any parades?

ahhh the big girl bed...a bittersweet moment...just like the giving up of the pacifiers...all in due time....it is kind of nice for them to be more independent buuuutt....when they would rather have a cd over your singing at bedtime? for reals, that was the end of the line for me...you are handling it well...oh and I squished the little presman into his cradle in our room until 6 months...and he HAD his own room....yessss....
