We've decided that waiting for the weather to shape up is no excuse to stay inside. This April has proven that Michigan weather's lameness knows no bounds. I know, the bright side, the bright side... mustering up optimism for fickle weather patterns requires energy that's a little beyond this cabin feverish mother-of-small-ones at the moment, but I will say this: I'm glad I invested in rain boots. (Or, for those who've been here a few years, "weeng boops." Hah!)
Eden's cupped hands runneth over with waterlogged worms, soon-to-be inhabitants of the "bug home" she and Judah have been assembling. This kid keeps surprising me with not only the CAPACITY for messy, dirty, slimy play, but her CRAVING of it.

Go for it, kiddo!

In case someone is thinking my kids are all outdoors-y all the time, don't. There's a whole lot of this happening.
As a special treat to the moms of preschooler out there with decent cable (or Netflix, like us)
Wonder Pets! Wonder Pets! We're on our way! To help the baby ptarmigan and save the day! We're not too big, and we're not too tough, but when we work together we've got the right stuff! Goooooo Wonder Pets! Yaaaay!
Oh, I'm so mean.
It's been rainy and cold and windy for most of the last few weeks, but we did have one beautiful, unseasonably warm day early in the month to remind us that there WILL come a day when we can walk outside without heavy outer garments and protective footwear.
Eden and Judah have enjoyed spending more time outside, but Selah, obviously, requires much more supervision for such an expedition. She usually stays inside with me, despite her longing to be where the action (AKA her siblings) are. I keep telling her to get up and walk, and we'll talk about it.
Babe's been holding out for two MONTHS since her first steps in February. She wanted to start off running, I think. (I am hearing Billy Madison in my head: "Now you're all in big, BIG trouble.")

Worms in the hands of that oh-so-particular little girl will remain a mystery to me. And yes, you are all in big, big twuh-buh.
You take the best photos. Oh and thanks for the song. I had one from Dora in my head so that was a pleasant change. :)
