Selah was up only once last night, Judah turned two, Holland hit 80 degrees in April. There is much going on over here, none of it and all of it exciting and extraordinary. I'm uploading new photos from Judah's Big Wheel birthday, but today I wanted to put all these together: in going through Judah pictures for my dad to compile in a DVD slideshow, I found so many neat portraits of these two siblings, whose relationship grows, changes, and strengthens a little each day (usually imperceptibly, and always with a generous dose of squabbling.) Before the introduction of Selah into the sib-mix, it was these two: Edie Jo and JuJu.

The day may be filled with countless maddening conflicts, squawking protests, insufferable injustices. If I can keep my cool through them, I hope I can also do my part to foster that unique comradery that can only be shared between a brother and a sister.
