We were graciously hosted this morning by Fancy Nancy Pants at her fantabulous Backyard Bonanza. What fun! Megan and Ellis came too, and we were treated to poolside iced mochas and splashy fun, followed by taco salad and margaritas. (The booze was Judah's idea; he has a weakness for fermented agave.)
Again with the giggles
Cousin fun
I LOVE this picture: wrinkly raisin toes, yellow swimmies, sun, hammock. She did faceplant off the hammock shortly after this picture was taken. Ah, the school of hard knocks.
On the drive from Nancy's to Sandy Pines, Eden predictably passed out in the Jeep. Actually, both kids were alseep when we got there. The silence was deafening... and pristine and glorious.
Perhaps these can help explain why I so often find myself heading out to the Pines...
After a great tummy time session
Eden found a perfect hiding place... "WooWoos cage!"
We headed home for dinner, jammies, and bedtime, and Eden begged to watch Veggie Tales. I felt we'd made the most of the sun, so I gave in. Peas with french accents as Philistines? Come on. Like I had a choice.
I have to say, it was the kind of day that made me feel a little guilty when Derek came home from *his* workday...

Great shots, as usual. I'm so glad Ellis has an Auntie like you around to chronicle her growing up. And you get the best belly laughs out of her....
What a FUN day! I'm jealous. I love the picture of Eden in the Bumbo seat with stuffed animal and maybe a doll? next to her :) And yes, infant growth is amazing. Kelsey is complete opposite of Macey at this age growthwise.
