Cousin love

My sister and I are 19 months apart. Though we had a number of rough years (uh, high school,) we now are two of those ridiculous idiot women you see yapping over coffee, obnoxiously finishing each other's (senseless) sentences, buying one another collector's keepsake Precious Moments figurines about "Special Sisters." (Except not that last one, EVER.) I don't give thanks nearly often enough for my sister's close proximity to me, separated by only 5 blocks that are easily spanned in 8 minutes or so, by stroller. I don't know if Eden will ever have a sister, but for all intents and purposes, she's got one in her cousin, Ellis. "Baby DehDess" is at the top of the Eden's list when we ask who she'd like to thank God for each evening, and the both of them squeal with delight when we meet up. I was able to snap a few pictures of the two of them this morning, and I *swear*... we didn't plan the outfits.













Oh, and for those of you wondering, we're taking a strategic hiatus from potty training. While we were tremendously encouraged by 5 straight days of pooping on the potty, things just weren't clicking. After much debate, I read Bethany's blog, and was convinced: time to take a little time and relax. One of these days...
