Big Kid

It seems like I was just marveling at Judah's transitioning from a toddler to a big kid. Indeed, he still shows the dichotomies of his three-and-a-half-year-old reality; the lanky limbs and coordination are just as normal as the happily-used diaper and the boots STILL on the wrong feet. (But let's be clear: we WILL be done with boy diapers before the summer is out.)

Now it's Selah who is the big kid.

Nothing makes her happier than when she can do what her older brother and sister are doing.

Even toys and activities clearly beyond her skill set are given a go. This streamer never had a chance.

She wears pigtails

and cheeky faces.

She's pretty sure she knows how this reading thing works.

But though she's thinning out, her chunky baby thighs retain their squishy glory.

And the sippy cup is clearly just a step beyond the bottle.

Still, Selah insists upon inclusion with the big kids, and that's just as well. She won't be the baby much longer.

The end of January, to be exact.
