I'm tryin', I'm not a slacker...

I felt guilty about it briefly, before realizing how much stockpiled sanity a few hours away from the Small Needing Ones would earn us. It has been a big week around here.

{{ After 20 days on the market, we sold our house on Monday. This, of course, is an amazing blessing that I can't express in words. It also means that in T minus 26 days, my children will be sleeping in a yet-undisclosed location. }}

I feel a bit like I'm in a snowglobe, and the blessings and provisions are swishing around in the artificial current, along with exclamations of fear and amazement and the daily and weekly tasks that still require attention. These things are too un-graspable at the moment, and are augmented by a pending offer on another house whose name and attributes I dare not speak of, for fear of superstitiosly jinxing the whole thing. But I can post pictures of my day-date with Derek. We drove south on Blue Star Highway.

These guys were on a date too.

My favorite stop on our sojourn along the lake was this place: over an acre of amazing crap that was (kind of) curated by a guy with a blond ponytail and a 20-ounce beer. By the time we left the tip of my nose was cold and I was mildly frantic with ideas. (Again, frenetic brain activity NOT helped by the offer we were waiting to hear about...)

Shed ceiling, and my favorite image of the day

Soon enough, I'll post some Halloween pics, a Judah expression study, and, and, and... hopefully something really juicy about a house.
