{Good morning}
Today Derek has a day off work {yahoo!} and we're going to church together before heading out to Allendale with the entire family to see these guys and celebrate four birthdays. I have two heaping heavy dishes of Dory's Famous Recipe Baked Ziti for the occasion, and my salivary glands are working overtime just thinking about it, but mostly I am anticipating warm time with the family I adore, and lots of great pictures.
Since listing the house not 48 hours ago, I've already encountered many unexpected thoughts and emotions (ugh, I'm cheesing myself out even writing that, but my vocabulary is just inadequate enough this morning to be stuck on those words...) The main reason for this post is to project this query out into the tentacled reaches of the interweb:
Know anyone who wants a cat?
College friends? A family with older kids? Empty Nesters? Young professionals?
We've had Kippy (name subject to constant change) since he was a wee little stray we didn't think would make it, and he is a great cat: affectionate without being in-your-face, good with kids, perfectly litter trained. He is neutered, declawed in the front, and is up to date on all of his shots and veterinary care. Oh, and he's quite handsome.

We've been passively looking for a good home for Kipper for a number of months now, and as we anticipate showing the house and moving into a new one, we just think now is a good time. He deserves more love and attention than we can give him at this stage in our lives, as callous as that sounds. (Trust me, I've dealt with my share of guilt on this issue, but reality is what reality is.) If you or someone you know might be interested in adopting Fat Mister, please contact me.
Happy Sunday!
